03 Май 2018 КариериIn Pakistan, the security context is difficult, mainly because of the terrorist threat.
The designed measures for the mission include:
- Observers would operate outside of Islamabad in armoured cars;
- They would be monitored 24/7 by an enhanced security control room;
- 5 liaison officers with each of them a small team, able to react, search and rescue, would be deployed all across the country, in direct support of the observers;
- Observers would receive security training for operating in a hostile environment.
LTOs would be deployed all over the country except in:
- Kashmir;
- Baluchistan, only short visits to the main city, Quetta;
- Peshawar, only short visits.
Further to these security measures, risk would remain at medium level. A risk daily allowance (43€) will be granted to observers operating outside of Islamabad.
