The Embassy of Bulgaria in Baku opened a Bulgarian stand at the "Eurovillage 2023" organized by the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan on June 10, 2023 in the city of Lankaran. Most of the EU member states represented in Azerbaijan took part in the exhibition, which gave several thousand visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the EU countries’ customs, history and culture.

The Bulgarian stand attracted a lot of attention by allowing the guests to enjoy traditional Bulgarian tastes and aromas and learn more about the opportunities for work and leisure that our country has to offer.

Ambassador Stoyanov presented the Bulgarian table to Mr. Sahib Mammadov - Deputy Minister of Economy, Mr. Anar Alakbarov - Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Mr. Taleh Garashov - Head of the Executive Power of Lankaran.

On the day preceding the exhibition, the ambassadors of the EU member states met with the head of the executive power of the city of Lankaran, Taleh Garashov. The meeting focused on the strong cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan and the role of the Union in the development of the region. The ambassadors got acquainted with the successful EU4Lankaran project, which reveals prospects for the development of the region, including in the field of small and medium-sized businesses, and creates opportunities for for the locals population for additional income and employment. Ambassador Stoyanov joined a meeting with the students of the Lankaran State University and participated in an organized tour, during which the ambassadors of the member states got acquainted with the projects financed by the EU.
