Bulgaria, Thailand Step Up Bilateral Relations
Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva conferred in Brussels with her Thai counterpart Don Pramudwinai. The first meeting at a level of foreign ministers since 2012 took place on the sidelines of a EU-ASEAN ministerial held in the Belgian capital. Thailand holds the ASEAN chairmanship since January 1, 2019.

The 22th EU-ASEAN meeting of foreign ministers was held in Brussels today. The meeting was co-chaired by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini on behalf of the European Union and by Singapore Minister of Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan on behalf of ASEAN.
