At present, the Republic of Bulgaria does not have a functioning embassy in Grenada. Grenada is serviced by the Embassy in Brazil.

Security level:
Public security in the country is at a fairly good level.

Specifics of the legislation:
In this country it is considered a criminal act for anyone, even children, to wear camouflage clothing.

Road traffic:
A valid national driving licence meets the requirements for obtaining a provisional licence to drive in Grenada. It can be obtained at any police station for a fee of EC$ 30. Vehicles shall move on the left side of the road.

Climatic characteristics:
Hurricane season is from June to November.

Local currency:
Eastern Caribbean dollar (XCD or ЕС$)
USD 1 = XCD 2.7
EUR 1 = XCD 3.6.

 

Travel papers and visas

A valid passport and return ticket is required to enter the country. Bulgarian citizens do not need a visa to travel to Grenada. However, it is also necessary to have a return or onward ticket.

Competitive service

European Emergency Travel Document:
In case of emergency (lost passport), Bulgarian citizens can seek on-the-spot assistance from a diplomatic mission of an EU Member State to obtain an Emergency Travel Document.

Certifications and legalizations:
Bulgaria and Grenada are parties to the 1961 Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents. Therefore, the documents/deeds drawn up in each of the two countries should bear an Apostille by the respective Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as translated and duly authenticated in order to serve before the authorities of the other country.

Exit fee - EC$ 50.00 (USD 20.00).
