Deputy Minister Kondov took part in a working meeting at the level of Foreign Ministers in the B-9 format in Brussels, Belgium
On 26 May 2024, a working dinner of the Foreign Ministers of the B-9 format countries, a multilateral format for consultations on security issues of NATO Eastern Flank countries, was held in Brussels. Bulgaria was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ivan Kondov, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the State of Israel in Bulgaria, H.E. Mr. Yosef Levi-Sfari
On 23 May 2024 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ivan Kondov met with the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Bulgaria H.E. Mr. Yosef Levi Sfari. During the talks, the sides discussed the latest developments in the conflict between Israel and Hamas, as well as issues of bilateral relations and the current situation in the Middle East. Issues concerning cooperation between Bulgaria and Israel in international forums were also in focus.

Meeting of the Permanent Secretary Svetlan Stoev with representatives of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe
On 23 May 2024, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Svetlan Stoev received representatives of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The upcoming early elections for the National Assembly and the European Parliament on 9 June this year in the Republic of Bulgaria were discussed.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Kondov and the Chairperson and Deputy Chairman of the Working Group ‘Elections’ in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — Svetlan Stoev and Boryana Stoynova presented at a briefing today an update on the organization set up by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the upcoming elections for the National Assembly and the European Parliament outside the country on 9 June.

During the talks, the two diplomats highlighted the excellent bilateral dialogue between the two countries, as well as the long-standing cultural ties between the Bulgarian and Czech people. They discussed the prospects for further deepening bilateral relations in areas of mutual interest such as economy and investment, tourism, security and defence, as well as cooperation within the EU and NATO.

The International Conference on Nuclear Security, the fourth edition of which takes place in Vienna from 20–24 May 2024 under the motto ‘Shaping the Future’, is a global forum within the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that provides an opportunity to promote international cooperation through the exchange of information, best practices, and innovation in the field of nuclear security.
