The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria announces that, at present, there is no information regarding injured Bulgarian citizens in connection with the earthquake in Myanmar, which led to the collapse of a skyscraper in Bangkok. The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Hanoi is closely monitoring the development of the situation.
The Situation Centre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent a message to all Bulgarian citizens who registered their travel to Thailand via the "I am travelling to..." section of the Ministry's website. To date, the Bulgarian citizens who have responded to the message have indicated that they do not require assistance.
Should assistance be needed, Bulgarian citizens in Myanmar and Thailand may contact the Bulgarian diplomatic mission in Hanoi, by telephone at: +84 24 3845 2908, or via the emergency hotline outside working hours: +84 24 3846 0856.
