Minister Georg Georgiev Holds Farewell Meeting with the Ambassador of Italy, H.E. Ms Giuseppina Zarra

Minister Georg Georgiev received the Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Bulgaria, H.E. Ms Giuseppina Zarra, today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the conclusion of her term in office. The Minister expressed his high appreciation for Ambassador Zarra’s contribution to the development and strengthening of bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Italy.
During the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed the excellent cooperation between the two countries across all areas of mutual interest. High praise was given to the successful partnership in the field of security and defence, highlighting Italy’s role as Framework Nation of the NATO Multinational Battlegroup stationed in Novo Selo.
Minister Georgiev conveyed his appreciation for Ambassador Zarra’s efforts and dedication to advancing trade and economic relations. Italy remains one of Bulgaria’s leading trading partners and a key investor in the national economy.
Ambassador Zarra thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the fruitful cooperation during her mandate and expressed her confidence that Bulgaria and Italy will continue to build upon their strong bilateral partnership and longstanding friendship.
