Consultations between Director General for European Affairs Yordan Parvanov and Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council Amer Kapetanović in the context of Sofia’s Chairmanship-in-Office of the South-East European Cooperation Process
On 15 September 2025, consultations were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between the Director General for European Affairs, Yordan Parvanov, and the Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), Amer Kapetanović. The consultations took place in the context of Bulgaria’s current Chairmanship-in-Office of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP).

On 15 September 2025, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Sofia was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) regarding the deliberate violation of the airspace of Poland, our NATO ally and EU partner, through the incursion of Russian military unmanned aerial vehicles on 10 September 2025.

Deputy Minister Nikolay Pavlov Participates in the Opening of the National Statistical Institute Conference, on "EU Enlargement: The role of Comparable and Reliable Official Statistics"
The Conference, held from 11 to 12 September 2025, in Burgas, took place within the framework of the Sofia Chairmanship-in-Office of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP). It brought together the heads of the national statistical institutes of EU candidates and potential candidates, as well as the presidents of the national statistical institutes of EU member states from the South-East European region. The event was co-organized by the NSI and its President Mr. Atanas Atanasov, together with Eurostat, represented by the Director General, Ms. Mariana Kotseva.

During the meeting, the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, characterised by frequent high-level and top-level visits, shared values, and the absence of outstanding issues. Gratitude was expressed for Bulgaria’s constant support for Montenegro’s Euro-Atlantic path. A number of topics from the bilateral agenda were also addressed, with a focus on successful partnerships in the fields of economy and business, tourism, cultural exchange, and others.
