Bulgaria and Azerbaijan Sign Intergovernmental Agreement for the Construction and Reconstruction of Shusha Park in Veliko Tarnovo

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georg Georgiev, and the Chairman of the State Committee for City Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Anar Guliyev, signed an intergovernmental agreement today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The agreement concerns the construction and reconstruction of Shusha Park in the city of Veliko Tarnovo. During the ceremony, Snezhana Daneva, Deputy Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo, also signed on behalf of the local authorities.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolay Berievski meets with UNICEF Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia Regina De Dominicis

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikolay Berievski, met with the UNICEF Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia, Ms Regina De Dominicis, during her working visit to Bulgaria on 22–23 January. During the meeting, prospects for future cooperation between Bulgaria and UNICEF post-2027 were discussed, as the current Cooperation Programme with UNICEF, approved by the Bulgarian government, is set to expire at that time. Deputy Minister Berievski underscored the high priority Bulgaria places on the protection and promotion of children's rights.
