Bulgaria is actively working on its first National Action Plan to combat anti-Semitism
Deputy Minister Kostadin Kodzhabashev today participated in a round table discussion at the Council of Ministers on a draft National Action Plan to Combat Anti-Semitism. The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the framework of the project ‘Strategic Cooperation between Bulgaria and Norway in Support of Bulgaria's International Commitments to Combating Anti-Semitism and Preserving Jewish Heritage’, funded under the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Kondov gave a special media briefing on the latest developments in Bulgaria's relations with the Republic of North Macedonia. The Minister recalled the case of 6 May this year, when the Bulgarian MEP Andrey Kovachev, the Chairperson of the Bulgarian Memory Foundation Dr. Milen Vrabevski and other Bulgarian citizens were not allowed on the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia for the traditional pilgrimage to the Bulgarian military cemetery in Novo Selo.

A dialogue on security issues in the Black Sea region was held in the framework of the Bulgarian Chairmanship of the OSCE Forum on Security Cooperation on 3 May 2023. Participants in the discussion focused on the strategic role of the region in the context of the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine.
