Today, February 15, 2016, the ninth meeting of the working groups of ministries of foreign affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Macedonia was held in Skopje. It was aimed at negotiating the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperationand and Good-neighborliness.

Minister Daniel Mitov held a meeting today with the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of Georgian Parliament Tedo Japaridze. We are deeply concerned over DPRK’s intentions to launch an “earth observation satellite” by using ballistic missile technology. Such action would clearly violate UN Security Council resolutions 1718 (2006), 1874 (2009), 2087 (2013) and 2094 (2013) and all international agreements. Minister of Foreign Affairs Daniel Mitov reaffirmed Bulgaria's support for the Euro-Atlantic integration of Montenegro during a joint press conference with visiting Montenegrin Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Igor Lukšić. Minister Mitov added that Montenegro is an important partner of Bulgaria in Southeastern Europe and its future ally in NATO and the EU.
