Government OKs diplomatic relations with Vanuatu

The Bulgarian Government has approved the establishment of diplomatic relations with Vanuatu. That was agreed at a meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Vanuatu Ralph Regenvanu.

TBILISI. - The Prime Minister of Georgia, Mamuka Bakhtadze, visited in May 5, 2019 the Bulgarian pavilion set up within the framework of the traditional Europe Day in Tbilisi, which is organized by the EU Delegation to Georgia. The event, organized under the motto ‘The European Union and Georgia: Stronger Together’, was dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the signing of the Association Agreement between Georgia and the EU and the tenth anniversary of the launch of the Eastern Partnership initiative of the EU.

Bulgarian Ambassador to Austria pays tribute to the victims of National Socialism

The Bulgarian Ambassador to Austria, Ivan Sirakov, took part in this year’s 74th ceremony of remembrance of the victims of Nazism who perished in the Austrian concentration camp complex of Mauthausen-Gusen.  The event is organized on May 5 of every year by the International Mauthausen Committee. This year, it took place under the motto: ‘Never a number. Forever human!’

BERLIN. – Owing to the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and our Embassy in Berlin, for the first time Bulgarian nationals residing in Germany will be able to vote in 13 additional polling stations for the Bulgarian candidates in the European parliamentary elections on May 26, after the federal authorities granted the request of the Bulgarian government to open more stations.
