With the decision, the diplomatic mission became a general honorary consulate, and its seat and consular district were retained. The Honorary Consul of the Republic of the Philippines in Bulgaria, Ognyan Georgiev Trayanov, became Consul General.

The government raised the class of the honorary consul in Naples
The Council of Ministers adopted a decision to change the consular class of Gennaro Familietti from honorary consul to honorary consul general and to expand his consular district in Italy, which in addition to the Campania region with the capital Naples will now cover the Abruzzo, Molise and Basilicata and Calabria, where according to official data live about 10,000 Bulgarian citizens.
