“We have need of more Europe. The difficulties that the EU currently is undergoing should not weaken the dynamics of the enlargement process. German authorities handed over stolen Roman plaque to Bulgarian Consulate in Frankfurt

On May 22, at the Ministry of Science and Arts of the Federal State of Hesse, State Secretary Ingmar Jung presented the Bulgarian Consul with a Roman silver medal of what is known as the Danube horseman, dated II - III century CE, that had been stolen from Bulgaria. At the ceremony, a protocol was signed for the return of the cultural object to its rightful owner, the Republic of Bulgaria.

At a formal ceremony today, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Marin Raykov conferred awards on employees with more than 30 years professional service at the ministry. Senior diplomats were awarded the Golden Badge of Honour and Silver Honours were conferred on employees who had worked at the institution for more than three decades.
