Bulgaria welcomes the framework agreement on key parameters for a joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on Iran's nuclear program

03 April 2015 News

Bulgaria welcomes the framework agreement on key parameters for a joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on Iran's nuclear program, reached on April 2, 2015 in Lausanne. The deal was concluded by the E3+3 Foreign Ministers (China, France, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom and the Russian Federation) and Iran. It is a decisive breakthrough in the negotiation process, resulting from the unprecedented and consistent efforts of all participants, including the team of the European External Action Service.

We have always maintained that a solution to the Iranian nuclear issue should be sought by diplomatic means. We are monitoring its development from the very beginning and we believe that despite the challenges there is now a real opportunity to achieve a comprehensive agreement within the established deadline, June 30, 2015. We strongly support the determination of the parties to continue working on the technical parameters of the agreement. We hope that the negotiations will continue to be conducted in a constructive spirit and positive atmosphere.
