MFA and UNWE sign Memorandum of Understanding to deepen cooperation between the two institutions
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University of National and World Economy signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions. At an official ceremony at the MFA, the document was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolay Milkov and the Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov.

State administration increases efforts for Bulgaria's accession to the OECD
National representatives will participate more actively in meetings of committees and working bodies of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) as part of the increased commitment of the public administration to our country's accession to the Organisation. This was announced on 8 February during the first 2023 regular meeting of the Inter-Agency Coordination Mechanisms (ICM) for Bulgaria's accession to the OECD.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolay Milkov held a telephone conversation with his Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen today, 7 February 2023. The main focus of the conversation was on the possibilities of bringing additional impetus to the political dialogue at the highest state level, which would allow the bilateral relations to be upgraded and brought in line with the qualitatively new dynamics of the processes at the regional and global level.

Minister Nikolay Milkov outlined the priorities of Bulgarian foreign policy at a press conference
Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolay Milkov presented his team and outlined the priorities of the Bulgarian foreign policy at a press conference for the media, which took place in the building of the ministry.
Minister Milkov pointed to the organization and holding of the April 2, 2023 National Assembly elections abroad as a major task for the MFA within the caretaker government. Currently, about 750 polling stations are expected to be opened.

Statement by the North Atlantic Council on the New START Treaty
NATO Allies agree the New START Treaty contributes to international stability by constraining Russian and U.S. strategic nuclear forces. Therefore, we note with concern that Russia has failed to comply with legally-binding obligations under the New START Treaty.

Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria
The ambassador of the Republic of North Macedonia in Bulgaria will be summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will be handed a protest note with regard to a serious criminal act, committed against a citizen of the Republic of North Macedonia with a Bulgarian self-identification, who is also a secretary of the “Tsar Boris III” organization in the city of Ohrid. On January 19th, 2023, the aforementioned citizen was attacked, causing grievous bodily harm, and, as a result, is admitted to a hospital.
