“I would like to say quite clearly that Bulgaria supports the European future of the Western Balkans. This support of ours found expression during the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU when the European perspective of the region was a key priority”, said Ambassador Dimitar Tsanchev, the Bulgarian Permanent Representative of the European Union, who represents Bulgaria at today’s regular meeting of the “General Affairs” Council.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria declared yet another Russian diplomat as persona non grata and asked the law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation to fully assist the Bulgarian authorities in investigating the explosions in Bulgarian arms depots, the destruction of material evidence in a fire and the poisoning of three Bulgarian citizens in order to discover the offenders and bring them to court.
