Our colleague Milen Lyubenov has passed away

With deep regret we inform you that today, following a serious illness, suddenly passed away one of our youngest colleagues – Milen Lyubenov, head of Department “Regional Cooperation” in Directorate “Southeast Europe”. In just a few weeks he was about to leave on a new diplomatic mission as Deputy Head of the Embassy of Bulgaria in Athens, Greece. Milen Lyubenov held the same position in our embassy in Bucharest, Romania. Previously he had worked in the mission in Chisinau, Moldova. He had also worked in the Directorates “State Protocol”, “Security Policy” and “Southeast Europe” in the Central Administration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
We will remember him as an excellent professional, reliable colleague and true friend, always ready to help in a difficult situation. We will miss him.
