Deputy Minister Marin Raykov Participates in the EU General Affairs Council Meeting

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marin Raykov, represented Bulgaria at the regular meeting of the General Affairs Council of the European Union, which took place in Brussels. A key focus of the discussions was the preparation for the forthcoming meeting of the European Council on 19 March. The draft conclusions cover topics such as support for Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, competitiveness and the deepening of the Single Market, the future Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) for the period 2028 – 2034, security and defence, migration, and multilateralism.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nadezhda Neynski, represented Bulgaria at the regular monthly meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union, which took place today in Brussels. The proceedings of the foreign ministers of the Member States began with the customary participation, via videoconference, of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha. He briefed his counterparts on the latest developments in the country and on recent diplomatic efforts aimed at finding a resolution to the conflict.

The Prime Minister, Andrey Gyurov, visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to commend and award, together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nadezhda Neynski, the team of the Crisis Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the successful completion of the active phase of the operation to evacuate Bulgarian citizens from the Middle East region and Iran.
