During the visit of the Bulgarian delegation to Kyiv, led by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, Andrey Gyurov, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha invited Minister Nadezhda Neynski to examine archival documents related to the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Ukraine. Among them was also the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk of February 9, 1918, in which Russia declared to Bulgaria, Germany, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire that it had lost the First World War.

During the discussions, the long-standing excellent bilateral relations, based on shared European values and strategic priorities, as well as on our traditional cultural, political, and economic ties, were discussed.

During the official visit of the Bulgarian delegation to Kyiv, led by Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Andrey Gyurov, Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynski held a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. Key issues related to security, energy, transport connectivity, and support for Ukraine’s European integration were discussed during the meeting.
“You are defending not only your lives, but also your dignity. Peace must be just and lasting, and Ukraine must be a full member of the European Union,” Minister Neynski said.

Minister Neynski in Kyiv: The horrors of war are a daily reality for Ukrainians
During the visit of the Bulgarian delegation to Kyiv, led by Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov, Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynski visited a destroyed nine-storey residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district, damaged during military operations. The Bulgarian side expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people and sympathy for the families of those injured and killed.
