The existence of a Bulgarian minority in Albania is a historical fact. Its official recognition by the Albanian State is a sign of political maturity, minister Zaharieva said.
Addressing the participants, Deputy Minister Sterk thanked all responsible institutions for their fine cooperation and good communication with stakeholders
Zaharieva was in Budapest at a meeting with the top diplomats of Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo and the Republic of Macedonia
In the course of the meeting Deputy Minister Georgiev highlighted that in 2017 the two countries mark the 120th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations which shows the presence of deep ties between Bulgaria and Iran based on mutual respect
