Bulgaria attaches great importance to the issue of preservation of the Bulgarian cultural and historical heritage and of the Bulgarian military cemeteries in the Republic of North Macedonia. For years, our country has been pursuing a policy of search and restoration of the Bulgarian military cemeteries and monuments in the Republic of North Macedonia. For the most part, they are in dire condition as a result of the consistent policy of de-Bulgarization, executed in the past on the territory of today's Republic of North Macedonia.
