The bust of Vasil Levski in Buenos Aires, which was damaged in an attempted theft on January 16, 2022, has been restored and is now in place at the Barrancas de Belgrano Park in the Argentine city. According to our embassy in Argentina, members of the Bulgarian community will have the opportunity to traditionally honor the memory of the Apostle in front of the monument at a commemorative event, which will be held on February 19, 2022 at 10:30.

Intolerance and hatred have no place in Bulgaria

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its full support for the efforts of various institutions to prevent the so-called “Lukov-march” in 2022 as well. The streets of the Bulgarian capital must remain free of manifestations, which are incompatible with the values, traditions and interests of the Bulgarian people. Antisemitism, racism, intolerance, discrimination and hatred have no place in Bulgaria.
