Bilateral consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria and Romania
On 4.04.2024 bilateral consultations were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria with a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania. The two sides discussed consular issues arising from the Schengen membership of Bulgaria and Romania, as well as issues related to reactions and crisis management.

Mariya Gabriel: Schengen is stronger with Bulgaria
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel participated in an official ceremony at Sofia Airport to mark Bulgaria's entry into the Schengen area. The event was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Acad. Nikolay Denkov, Head of the EC Representation in Bulgaria Yordanka Chobanova, Minister for Interior Kalin Stoyanov, Minister for Transport and Communications Georgi Gvozdeykov and CEO of SOF Connect Jesús Caballero.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel took part in the National Conference ‘20 Years Bulgaria in NATO: Because we are stronger together’. The President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, Prime Minister Acad. Nikolay Denkov and Minister of Defence Todor Tagarev were among the official participants in the opening ceremony.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel hosted the conference ‘Cardiovascular Health in Europe: Challenges and Prospects’ in partnership with H.E. Ambassador Frédéric Meurice and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Bulgaria. The event is organized with the support of the European Society of Cardiology and the Society of Cardiologists in Bulgaria. Among the participants in the conference were the Minister for Health Prof. Dr. Hristo Hinkov and the Ambassador of Hungary H.E. Miklós Boros.
