A telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Nadezhda Neynski, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Greece, Giorgos Gerapetritis, in which they discussed the current situation in the Middle East region.
The two ministers expressed serious concern about the development of the situation and the potential risks to the security of their countries' citizens. They discussed the possibilities for coordinated and joint action to evacuate Bulgarian and Greek citizens from the affected areas. In this context, Minister Gerapetritis proposed that Bulgarian citizens in Oman be able to take advantage of an evacuation flight organized by the Greek state, which is to be carried out within the next day.
Greece expressed its readiness to assist in future efforts to evacuate Bulgarian citizens from the Middle East region.
