Minister Georg Georgiev Holds Farewell Meeting with the Ambassador of Poland to Bulgaria, H.E. Maciej Szymański

On 12 November, Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev held a farewell meeting with the Ambassador of Poland to Bulgaria, His Excellency Mr Maciej Szymański.
Minister Georgiev thanked Ambassador Szymański for his efforts and contribution to promoting Bulgarian – Polish relations over the past six years. In the course of the conversation, both sides highly appreciated the upward trajectory of bilateral cooperation across all areas of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on priority fields such as security, defence, energy, and other.
The interlocutors agreed on the importance of reinforcing unity within the European Union (EU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), given the necessity of addressing common challenges.
The Polish Ambassador, for his part, extended his congratulations on Bulgaria’s successes in joining the Schengen Area and the Eurozone.
