Meeting Between the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Georg Georgiev and H.E. Ms Listiana Operananta, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georg Georgiev, received today in meeting the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Bulgaria, Her Excellency Ms Listiana Operananta.
During the discussion, both sides outlined the important significance of the long-standing and stable bilateral relations and emphasised their readiness for further development across a wide range of spheres. A shared commitment was expressed to appropriately mark the 70-year anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2026.
Specific ideas for expanding bilateral ties were discussed, both in traditional fields such as trade, economy, culture and education, and in new areas such as scientific exchange, energy and others.
During the meeting, the important significance of cooperation between Bulgaria and Indonesia in multilateral formats such as the United Nations, the EU – ASEAN Strategic Partnership and others was also underlined.
