Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolay Pavlov Receives Copies of the Letters of Credence of H. E. Ambassador Noel Servigon of the Republic of the Philippines to the Republic of Bulgaria (Seat in Bucharest)

On 15 October 2025, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Nikolay Pavlov, received copies of the letters of credence from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to the Republic of Bulgaria (with residence in Bucharest), H. E. Ambassador Noel Servigon.
As a concrete step to bring new momentum to the bilateral relationship, the need was discussed to activate the established mechanism for political consultations between the two countries’ foreign ministries and the possibilities of holding the next round of consultations.
During the conversation, the desire and readiness for further developing the bilateral dialogue in various areas of common interest were expressed. Prospective areas identified included cooperation in sports, education, people-to-people contacts and others.
The role of honorary consuls in fostering relations between the two countries was also emphasised.
The importance of cooperation within international organisations, including mutual support for candidatures, was underlined during the meeting.
