The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Georgi Georgiev, held a meeting today at the Ministry with Mr. Radek Rubeš, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
Georgi Georgiev and Radek Rubeš discussed topics of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on mechanisms for financial support and career development for the staff of the diplomatic services of both countries. Special attention was paid to Bulgaria’s forthcoming accession to the euro area and the actions undertaken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure a smooth institutional transition to the introduction of the single European currency, including the payment arrangements for employees both in Sofia and abroad.
The two sides agreed on the importance of maintaining dialogue aimed at sharing best practices in the functioning of the diplomatic services of Bulgaria and the Czech Republic.
