Farewell Meeting of Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev with Dr Nasri Abu Jaish, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Sofia

Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev held a farewell meeting with Dr Nasri Abu Jaish, Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Sofia, on the occasion of his final departure from Bulgaria.

Minister Georgiev thanked Dr Abu Jaish for his dedicated work towards deepening bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Palestine, noting that despite his short stay in Bulgaria, Ambassador Abu Jaish has left a positive mark on bilateral ties. For his part, Ambassador Abu Jaish expressed gratitude to the Bulgarian government and personally to Minister Georgiev for their efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and for Bulgaria’s position in support of the two-state solution.

The two also discussed current issues on the international agenda, including the war in Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East.
