Deputy Foreign Minister Maria Angelieva Receives Copies of the Letters of Credence of the Newly Appointed Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Bulgaria, Asma Babouche

On 12 August 2025, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between Deputy Minister Maria Angelieva and the newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Bulgaria, H.E. Ms Asma Babouche. The occasion was the presentation of copies of Ambassador Babouche’s letters of credence.
During the meeting, the state of bilateral relations was reviewed. The ties between the two countries were assessed highly, being founded on a solid historical basis of friendship and mutual respect. The two sides also underlined their shared desire to strengthen political dialogue at all levels. To this end, a roadmap was outlined for further steps aimed at developing bilateral cooperation and enhancing partnership in areas of mutual interest.
