Farewell Meeting between Minister Georg Georgiev and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Bulgaria, H.E. Dao Vibulpanich

On 22 July 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Georg Georgiev, held a farewell meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Bulgaria (resident in Bucharest), Her Excellency Dao Vibulpanich. Bulgaria’s top diplomat welcomed the Ambassador’s efforts to promote bilateral exchange during her tenure. In turn, Ambassador Vibulpanich expressed her appreciation for the effective support provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed the excellent cooperation between Bulgaria and Thailand and expressed their readiness to further enhance political dialogue and collaboration in the fields of economy, culture, and tourism. In this context, both parties highlighted their mutual interest in holding political consultations aimed at identifying concrete steps to deepen sectoral cooperation in areas of shared interest.
The importance of EU–Thailand cooperation was also underlined, including the expansion of the legal framework through the entry into force of the EU–Thailand Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, as well as the ongoing negotiations on an EU–Thailand Free Trade Agreement. These instruments were recognised as key drivers for strengthening trade and economic relations and promoting regional security.
