Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev Receives Delegation from the National Defence Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georg Georgiev, received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs a delegation from the National Defence Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, led by the Committee’s Chair, Mr Hulusi Akar. The parliamentary delegation from the Republic of Turkey is visiting Bulgaria at the invitation of the Defence Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria. During the talks, a wide range of issues concerning bilateral cooperation were discussed, along with topics from the international agenda, including Russia’s ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine, the Israel-Hamas conflict, and other matters. Particular emphasis was placed on the efforts of the two neighbouring NATO allies to ensure security in the Black Sea region.
