The Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova H.E. Anatol Chebuk was awarded the highest award of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ‘Golden Laurel Branch’

On 19 September 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Kondov honoured the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova H. E. Mr. Anatol Chebuk with the highest award of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ‘Golden Laurel Branch’ for his outstanding services in the development and upgrading of bilateral relations and on the occasion of the completion of his mandate.

In his welcoming speech, Minister Kondov highlighted the contribution of Ambassador Anatol Chebuk, who with his work has made an important contribution to the new impetus in the development of relations between Bulgaria and Moldova in recent years. As a result, the high-level bilateral political dialogue has proved to be particularly intensive and to bring concrete results and solutions to issues of importance to both sides.

It was pointed out that decisive steps have been taken to support the Bulgarian community in the Republic of Moldova through various financial instruments under the Official Bulgarian Development Assistance, the National Program for the Historical Bulgarian Communities, as well as through the allocation of funds from the state budget of the Republic of Bulgaria. The Moldovan partners were highly appreciated for their partnership in this regard, actively supporting the process of identifying the most promising projects, which are the crossroads for the priority objectives of the bilateral relations.

Ambassador Anatol Chebuk’s contribution to the signing on 26 March 2024 of the Agreement between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova on the transformation of the Taraclia State University ‘Grigorii Tsamblak’ into a branch of the Ruse University ‘Angel Kanchev’ was highlighted.

The award ceremony was attended by the ambassadors of Austria, France, Slovenia, Romania and Mongolia, as well as heads of units within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
