Bulgaria and Latvia mark 100 years of diplomatic relations

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Latvia, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Irena Dimitrova held political consultations at the Latvian Foreign Ministry with Secretary of State Andris Pelshs. The two discussed bilateral relations, security issues in the region, countering misinformation and support for Ukraine.
The fruitful and friendly cooperation on topics of mutual interest, including within NATO, the EU and the UN, was emphasized. Emphasis was also placed on the process of integration of the Western Balkans into the EU. Deputy Minister Dimitrova wished success to Latvia in organizing the forthcoming Summit on June 20-21 in Riga of the Three Seas Initiative.
