Deputy Foreign Minister Vasiliy Takev received copies of the credentials of Mongolian Ambassador Lhagvasuren Sayanaa. Possibilities for deepening cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest, including in the field of trade and economic exchange, science, education and culture, were discussed.

Deputy Minister Takev stressed the importance of Mongolia as an important partner and traditional friend of Bulgaria in Asia, as well as the readiness of our country to intensify political dialogue and strengthen contacts between the two people. Among the areas with great potential in bilateral relations, agriculture was singled out. Ambassador Lhagvasuren Sayanaa expressed the Mongolian side's desire to expand cooperation in the field of education. More than 450 Mongolian students have been educated at Bulgarian universities, and more than 3,000 Mongolian citizens have specialized in Bulgaria.

The good cooperation within the international organizations - UN, ASEM and OSCE was emphasized. Bulgaria participates in the formation of relations between the EU and Mongolia and actively supports their deepening.

At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Minister wished success to Ambassador Lhagvasuren Sayanaa, assuring her that during her term she could count on the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria.
