Deputy Minister Zaritsa Dinkova received the Ambassador of Republic of South Africa Thabo Thage

 ‘‘The relations between Republic of Bulgaria and Republic of South Africa are traditionally good and have been developing on a stable and friendly basis for decades." This was stated by Deputy Minister Zaritsa Dinkova during a meeting with Thabo Taghe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of South Africa to Bulgaria.

On the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between South Africa and Bulgaria in February 2022, Zaritsa Dinkova noted that South Africa is a strategic partner for us in the Sub-Saharan Africa. She stressed the need to intensify trade and economic ties between the two countries and benefit from their untapped potential. She also stressed the importance of the large Bulgarian community in South Africa.

Both sides expressed a desire to strengthen their economic partnership through the exchange of trade and business delegations, participation in tenders, fairs, exhibitions. The Ambassador stressed his country's interest in the opportunities offered by our two main seaports, Varna and Burgas. Deputy Minister Zaritsa Dinkova proposed holding a bilateral business forum in order to expand company ties and deepen direct contacts between business partners.

At the end of the meeting, the two interlocutors stressed the need to strengthen the dialogue at a high political level, which would lead to further strengthening of bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Republic of South Africa.
