Official visit of British Foreign Secretary to Bulgaria
14 January 2015 Diplomatic CalendarMinister Daniel Mitov will meet on January 14 with the British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, who will pay an official visit to Sofia at the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart.
The official talks will take place at 3.20 pm. at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The main topics to be discussed are the current state of bilateral relations and the prospects for their expansion, European cooperation, especially in the context of the crisis in Ukraine, EU reforms, the fight against terrorism, common foreign policy of the Union and regional security . After the plenary talks between the two delegations, Daniel Mitov and Philip Hammond will give a joint briefing for media.
Photographers will be able to make protocol photos at the official entrance of the Foreign Ministry at 3.20 pm. Media representatives, accredited to the MFA, are invited to attend the joint briefing of the two ministers at 4.00 pm.
During his visit to Bulgaria, Philip Hammond will also confer with President Rosen Plevneliev and Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.
