International conference on the 75th anniversary of NATO and the 20th anniversary of Bulgaria and 6 other countries accession to the North Atlantic Alliance
On 29 May this year, an international conference was held in Madrid entitled ‘Strength in Unity: 20th Anniversary of NATO's Expansion to Central and Eastern Europe" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of NATO's founding and the 20th anniversary of the accession of Bulgaria and 6 other countries to the North Atlantic Alliance. The meeting was organised by the embassies of Romania, Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia and Slovenia, which became full NATO members in 2004. Deputy Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov participated today in the regular monthly meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels. The main topics discussed by the ministers were the Russian military aggression against Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East.

Deputy Minister Kondov took part in a working meeting at the level of Foreign Ministers in the B-9 format in Brussels, Belgium
On 26 May 2024, a working dinner of the Foreign Ministers of the B-9 format countries, a multilateral format for consultations on security issues of NATO Eastern Flank countries, was held in Brussels. Bulgaria was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ivan Kondov, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the State of Israel in Bulgaria, H.E. Mr. Yosef Levi-Sfari
On 23 May 2024 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ivan Kondov met with the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Bulgaria H.E. Mr. Yosef Levi Sfari. During the talks, the sides discussed the latest developments in the conflict between Israel and Hamas, as well as issues of bilateral relations and the current situation in the Middle East. Issues concerning cooperation between Bulgaria and Israel in international forums were also in focus.

Meeting of the Permanent Secretary Svetlan Stoev with representatives of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe
On 23 May 2024, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Svetlan Stoev received representatives of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The upcoming early elections for the National Assembly and the European Parliament on 9 June this year in the Republic of Bulgaria were discussed.
