On 2 October 2023, the Bulgarian Permanent Representative to the UN, OSCE and international organisations in Vienna, Ambassador Emilia Kraljeva, a member of the Board of Governors on behalf of Bulgaria (Governor), was elected one of the two Vice-Presidents of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for the period 2023-2024.
