Detained Bulgarians are in a safe place

Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that the Bulgarian citizens held captive since January 26 by the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-North) in the southern part of the Republic of Sudan are in a safe place in the Republic of South Sudan with a team of the UN World Food Programme (WFP).
Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to express its gratitude to the UN WFP and its field teams in South Sudan, and to the office of the UN Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs. We thank also the Government of Sudan for its constructive role in resolving the situation with the Bulgarian citizens.
