Bulgaria and Vietnam will work for strengthening bilateral cooperation

Minister Daniel Mitov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Binh Minh. The conversation took place on 25 September on the sidelines of the 69th regular session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The two ministers discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation based on long-standing friendship and the established high and the highest level contacts during the last year. Daniel Mitov expressed hope that the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2015 will contribute to the further development of bilateral cooperation. He noted the importance of the opportunities within the EU-ASEAN partnership.
Minister Pham Binh Minh also expressed willingness to intensify bilateral relations and the cooperation within the established formats such as EU-ASEAN and Asia-Europe (ASEM) dialogue. He thanked Bulgaria for being one of the first EU Member States to ratify the EU-Vietnam Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Partnership and Cooperation.
