Statement by Bulgarian Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov
I strongly condemn the heinous murder of French citizen Hervé Gourdel by the terrorists in Algeria.This consecutive terrible crime cannot be justified and it once again demonstrates the need for full mobilization of the international community, of all nations, regardless of their religious affiliation, to combat terrorism.
I have already expressed my most sincere condolences to my French counterpart Minister Laurent Fabius, with whom we are together in New York for the regular session of the UN General Assembly. In such hard times, we express our deep sympathy and solidarity with the family of Hervé Gourdel, and with all French people.
