MFA sets up hotline to assist Bulgarian citizens caught up in crises abroad

A hotline to assist Bulgarian citizens in difficulties because of crises and disasters abroad is being introduced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from September 1 2013.

Feedback and requests for assistance in emergency situations from Bulgarian citizens will be accepted around-the-clock at the Situation Centre telephone numbers:

+359 2 971 28 44;
+359 2 870 41 57;

- Via the Situation Centre e-mail address [email protected] and the websites of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions of the Republic of Bulgaria.

By introducing the 24-hour hotline to assist people in distress, the Situation Centre of the MFA is aiming at a seamless process of providing assistance, with speed, efficiency and an emergency response in the event of major crises affecting Bulgarian citizens abroad. The Foreign Ministry reminds that the phone lines and email of the Situation Centre are posted on the website of the Foreign Ministry.
