Minister Petrova Attends Opening of High-Tech Production Facility – an Example of the Deepening Partnership Between Bulgaria and China

Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova today attended the official opening of production at the ZS EUROPE high-tech plant in Plovdiv – a new project by Shanghai Unison Aluminium Products. The production facility was officially opened by Prime Minister Rumen Radev.
The Shanghai Unison Aluminium Products project is establishing high-tech production of aluminium components in Bulgaria for leading global automotive manufacturers. The expansion is a natural continuation of the successfully completed first phase and demonstrates the company’s sustainable development and the investor’s confidence in Bulgaria.
The project is a tangible example of the potential for developing industrial cooperation between Bulgaria and China, including in the fields of high technology and high value-added manufacturing. The investment also demonstrates growing confidence in Bulgaria and the efforts to establish the country as an attractive destination for strategic investment and high-tech manufacturing.
The official ceremony was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Pekanov, Minister of Health Katya Ivkova, and representatives of the local authorities, the business community and the investing company.
