Meeting of Deputy Minister Radi Naydenov with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Bulgaria

On 28 April 2026, Deputy Minister Radi Naydenov held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Bulgaria, H.E. Mr Dong-bae Kim.
Both sides gave a high assessment of the Bulgarian – Korean political dialogue and expressed their expectation for its further development and deepening, including through the organisation of the next round of political consultations at deputy foreign minister level in Sofia.
A shared desire was expressed to achieve more concrete and practical results in bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, innovation and investment.
On the basis of the excellent bilateral relations, Ambassador Kim also presented as a priority the candidature of the Republic of Korea for judge at the International Court of Justice, highlighting the high professionalism and experience of the Korean candidate and expressing hope for Bulgaria’s support for the nomination.
