Bulgaria reaffirmed its support for Ukraine and its commitment to its post-war reconstruction

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Nadezhda Neynski, took part in an informal meeting of the foreign ministers of the Member States of the European Union, held with the participation of the Ukrainian leadership.

Within the framework of the forum, Bulgaria’s consistent support for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine was reaffirmed, as well as its commitment to achieving a just and lasting peace. Minister Neynski emphasized the importance of international accountability for violations of international law as a key element of any sustainable peace process.

In the course of the discussions, the EU’s top diplomats highlighted the need for continued international support for Ukraine’s resilience and recovery, with an emphasis on the reintegration of veterans as a key element of post-war reconstruction. Bulgaria also emphasized the need to maintain the focus on Ukraine in the context of ongoing global challenges and reaffirmed its readiness to continue contributing, including in the context of the efforts of the EU and NATO, to support the country.
