Ambassador Vasilii Takev presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Lithuania
20 June 2013 NewsThe newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Lithuania Vassilii Takev presented his credentials to President Dalia Grybauskaitė. In conversation after the official ceremony, the two exchanged views on the current state of Bulgarian-Lithuanian relations and interaction between the two countries within the EU and NATO in the context of the upcoming July 1 2013 Lithuanian Presidency of the EU. They agreed that both sides are privileged partners with nothing to burden their agenda and with common interests as allies, which should provide greater added value in their bilateral interaction.
Ambassador Takev also met with Foreign Minister Linas Antanas Linkevičius and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, with whom he discussed specific aspects of the Lithuanian Presidency of the EU and issues that are priorities for Bulgaria.
