Deputy Minister Nikolay Pavlov Chaired a Meeting of the Interinstitutional Coordination Mechanism for Bulgaria’s Accession to the OECD

On 4 December 2025, a regular meeting of the Interinstitutional Coordination Mechanism (ICM) for Bulgaria’s accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister Nikolay Pavlov.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review of progress in the accession process was presented. The participants discussed the next steps for implementing the OECD’s priority recommendations in those working bodies of the Organisation where the technical reviews are still ongoing, as well as the envisaged timeline for completing work on these dossiers.
Deputy Minister Pavlov emphasised that the work to be carried out over the coming months is crucial for achieving the objective of Bulgaria’s accession to the Organisation in 2026. He called for additional mobilisation of efforts at both political and expert level across all Bulgarian institutions involved, in close coordination among them and through active communication and dialogue with the OECD Secretariat.
