National Coordinator for Combating Antisemitism Maria Angelieva Meets the American Jewish Committee’s Deputy Director for Europe

The National Coordinator for Combating Antisemitism and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maria Angelieva, met with a delegation of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), led by Ms Anne – Sophie Sebban, the organisation’s Deputy Director for Europe.
Both sides underlined the excellent and longstanding relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and the AJC, rooted in active partnership in combating antisemitism and preserving the historical memory of the Holocaust.
Deputy Minister Angelieva and Ms Sebban reaffirmed their readiness to further deepen cooperation and to expand joint initiatives aimed at countering antisemitism, intolerance and hate speech.
The meeting took place as part of Ms Sebban’s first international visit in her capacity as AJC Deputy Director for Europe, underscoring the strategic importance of the partnership.
